Grit

A powdered fritt with a specific grain composition that imparts visual depth to the surface through optical refraction of light. The material is primarily used in porcelain stoneware production to achieve decorative effects such as "sugar," polished, and lapped finishes.

Varieties of Granille

We select the composition to achieve the desired surface effect, taking into account the type of ceramics and firing conditions. It meets high requirements for thermal expansion coefficient (TEC).

Glossy grit

Glossy grit are characterized by the presence of a sheen on the fired piece. During the firing process, the grit applied to the tile partially melt or remain as uneven surfaces, creating the effect of a natural stone texture with a sparkling, shimmering sheen.

Matte grit

Matte grit are characterized by diffused light reflection, similar to matte glazes. During the firing process, the grit remains uneven, creating the effect of an unfinished stone texture.
