Grit – a step into the future with ROSFRITT!

In August 2023, ROSFRITT, as part of a project to improve the laboratory’s technical equipment, acquired the latest equipment—a vibration sieve analyzer. This device allows you to determine the granulometric composition of grit, thus monitoring the content of all fractions: from dust (0 mm – 0.025 mm) to coarse (1.0 mm). ROSFRITT has the ability to produce grit of various chemical compositions, fusibility and coefficient of thermal expansion. Grits are fritts of a specific grain composition, designed to create a relatively thick layer of glass-like coating with a relief surface, partially or completely polished. It is a sought-after modern decor and a promising direction for the development of ROSFRITT.

Grits create visual depth in a surface through optical refraction. They are used for both porcelain stoneware (in most cases) and double-fired wall tiles.

A 16-screen vibration analyzer, coupled with highly qualified specialists and extensive fritt-making experience, will ultimately allow ROSFRITT to offer ceramic factories a wide range of scarce, top-of-the-line products—premium-class grit.
